Regional and extra-regional powers, seeking to achieve their geopolitical objectives through infiltration strategies that exploit the infrastructural weaknesses of Iran's neighbors, aim to align these countries with their own geopolitical codes. The relations of regional and extra-regional powers significantly influence Iran's geopolitical relations with its neighbors. The policy of the 13th government emphasizes engagement with neighboring states. This policy essentially focuses on enhancing economic and geo-economic relations with neighboring countries. Furthermore, Iran seeks to elevate its geostrategic and security relations with neighbors, particularly considering the presence of the Zionist regime in its periphery, especially in Azerbaijan. Iran is pursuing improved geo-communicative relations with its neighboring states. The core research question is: What impact will the role of regional and extra-regional powers on Iran's neighbors have on Iran's geopolitical relations? In response to this question, it must be stated that given the susceptibility of Iran's neighbors to regional and extra-regional powers, this dynamic could adversely affect Iran's policy of strengthening geo-economic, geostrategic, security, and geo-communicative relations. The objective of this study is to identify and examine the factors influencing Iran's neighbors' susceptibility to regional and extra-regional powers and how these factors impact Iran's geopolitical relations. Preliminary findings indicate that, considering the significant presence and influence of regional and extra-regional powers on Iran's neighbors, Iran seeks to establish interactive geopolitical relations with its neighbors to achieve geo-economic security, strategic security, and enhanced geo-communicative connectivity.
