Today, one of the most significant indicators of political development in all societies is the concept of women's political participation, and understanding the factors influencing it—including citizen diplomacy—is of paramount importance. Citizen diplomacy refers to activities in the fields of information exchange, education, and culture, aimed at fostering greater familiarity among nations, particularly those embroiled in disputes, to promote mutual understanding and the attainment of shared perspectives and values. Accordingly, this research has been conducted to examine and identify the effects of citizen diplomacy on women's political participation. This study is applied in nature and has been carried out using a survey method. The statistical population consisted of all women (aged 18 and above) in Tehran, from which a sample size of 385 individuals was selected through multi-stage cluster sampling based on Cochran's formula. Data collection was conducted using a researcher-made questionnaire, and the analysis was performed using SPSS 23, LISREL, and descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings indicate a significant relationship between presenting a positive and favorable image of the country, participating in peacebuilding and conflict-resolution activities, and women's political participation. Moreover, citizen diplomacy has a measurable impact on the political participation of women in Tehran.
