Abstract

In the era after the Islamic Revolution, the Zionist regime turned from a tactical ally into a strategic enemy for Iran. Using a combination of hard and soft strategies, this regime has sought to contain, erode, and finally destroy Iran's power levers. Among the actions of this regime, there has been a direct and indirect threat of a military attack on Iran. In fact, the Zionist regime considers Iran as one of the most important security threats against it. On the other hand, Iran has also tried to defend itself, so the purpose of this research is to explain the importance of the defense component in Iran's strategic depth to confront the Zionist regime and its relationship with the national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The main question raised in this research is: "What effect does Iran's strategic depth defense have on the national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran to confront the Zionist regime?" This research is inspired by the theory of "network deterrence" and believes; By defending in its strategic depth, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been able to restore deterrence as a valid thing and as a result, stabilize and consolidate the foundations of its national security. The method of collecting information in this research is a library method and the method of analyzing information is a descriptive, analytical method.
