Explaining the internal achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran, based on the theory of sustainable development

Understanding a great social phenomenon like Iran's Islamic Revolution in the 20th century and its domestic and foreign achievements requires a lot of study and more time. Therefore, as a general understanding, it is possible to explain its minimal achievements so far in the domestic sphere. Therefore, the main question of the article is, "What have been the achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran in various economic, social, cultural, scientific, political, legal, defense and military fields inside the country?" Our assumption in this article is based on the principle that by referring to statistics and figures, as well as comparing the achievements in the above fields, between before and after the Islamic revolution, there have certainly been fundamental changes in the country in recent decades; But according to the theory of sustainable development, there are still problems in the field of not destroying the environment and preserving natural resources. The effort of the article is to analyze these achievements based on statistical indicators before and after the revolution and also with the benefit of sustainable development theory. The findings of the research show that although the internal economic, social, cultural, political, etc. achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran are acceptable, appropriate measures have not been taken in the field of environmental protection. In this research, we deal with this issue with the descriptive-analytical research method and the use of library tools.
