Background and Objective: Accuracy, speed, and shooting stability are critical determinants of effective handgun performance. The approach proposed in this study originates from an anatomical analysis of the neurophysiological differences between the fingers of the hand, combined with the author's practical experience in firearms training and marksmanship. It is proposed as a potential innovation in firearms instruction. The primary objective of this paper is to introduce and theoretically analyze an innovative trigger manipulation technique for handguns that employs the middle finger rather than the conventional index finger. A further objective is to examine its potential contribution to enhanced operational safety, improved firearm control, and increased shooting accuracy in military and law enforcement training. Methods: This study adopts a documentary research approach based on a comprehensive review of the relevant literature and the integration of concepts from multiple scientific and philosophical disciplines. It develops a new conceptual framework for middle-finger trigger manipulation by examining its theoretical foundations, available scientific evidence, and instructional implications. Drawing upon the author's field observations and practical experience, the study introduces a novel handgun trigger manipulation method grounded in the neurophysiological differences between the middle and index fingers. Results and Conclusion: The findings suggest that the proposed technique has the potential to serve as an effective instructional aid in firearms training for law enforcement personnel. According to the author's practical observations since 2022, the application of this trigger manipulation technique during the Law Enforcement Command (FARAJA) Headquarters and Central Staff Shooting Championships in 2022 and 2024 was associated with a notable improvement in shooting performance, culminating in second-place finishes in both competitions. These preliminary findings indicate that the proposed method warrants further experimental investigation under controlled conditions to evaluate its effectiveness and broader applicability.
